Apologies for the delay in getting these live but, as promised the slides can be found here: Keeping SharePoint Always On.
There were a few questions related to setting up a central farm versus regional farms to deal with latency that users in Europe were experiencing when trying to access a SharePoint environment in North America. I did a little research on this topic and I have found the following TechNet articles particularly useful:
- Global architectures for SharePoint Server 2013: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg441255(v=office.15).aspx
- SharePoint Server 2013 WAN case studies: United Airlines: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh206325(v=office.15).aspx
- Testing WAN connections for SharePoint 2013 architectures: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh206322(v=office.15).aspx
- and one from Metalogix: http://www.metalogix.com/Libraries/Product_Collateral/Distributed_SharePoint_-_One_Farm_Two_Farms_Three_Farms_or_More.pdf
If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to me either here or on Twitter at: @AntonioMaio2. I'd be happy for a follow and to follow back.
Thanks again,
